I am 38 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I have had an awful headache backache, diarrhea, nausea all day long. Can this be the start of labor?
I sure hope so! I’m 38 weeks 4 days pregnant, and have been having horrible back ache and headaches for the past week, and diarrhea and nausea for the past day or two.
It could be anytime, but then again, it could still be a few more weeks.

I get horrible headaches as the moon reaches its fullest. Always have. Began tracking it when I was a young teenager trying to find the reason so I could avoid these horrible horrible headaches. Been to the Dr., so don’t go there. They are not migraines.
Yes the moon phases and women are known to have some interconnected energies. There are some times when the moon is full that I have the most sensitivities towards any kind of energy, sometimes even towards my own. Sometimes it makes me grumpy, happy, hyper, or really depressed and sad. This kind of thing stems back towards the beginning of anything ‘female’. Your headaches can have the same connection with the moon phases. I suggest during these times that you do some energy movement work and some deep meditation. Relax and let the moon’s energies move through you and with you.

I have this pounding headache from the day before still and wanted to know what over the counter pain reliever can cut it so I can go on with my day. The on will get the points!!!!
I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse. I used to suffer from these everyday for years. I now take Feverfew capsules, they take a time to get into the system but they have been proven to be the best thing out. Your problem at the moment needs solving now, so I have found the best thing that works is NUROFEN PLUS. They contain codeine and Ibuprofen. I don’t normally recommend them because they can harm the stomach wall, so eat something before you take them
Try placing an ice pack behind your neck, it may be that your STERNOMASTOID muscle is inflamed, I suffer from this and it always works. Also Lavender oil on a hanky and inhaled also helps.
If you need any more help contact me on alternative@medicine123.wanadoo.co.uk but please give me your full e mail address as it is not easy to contact you on yahoo answers.

What could possibly cause this kind of a headache…It’s usually in one spot above the right eye. This has been going on for about 9 months now and the headaches come randomly about 3-4 times a week (doesn’t seem to be caused because of change in weather). The pain is usually sharp just in that area. Could this be serious or is it just a normal thing to deal with? What can cause this and what can be done to prevent it other then to drink pills?
Most headaches around the eyes are one of two types – either migraine, or sinus headache; you may be able to determine which one it is likely to be by the following:
A migraine headache is virtually entirely on one side of the head; it is often accompanied by nausea, and sensitivity to light and/or sound. Some people experience an "aura" shortly before the migraine begins; it can be visual, auditory, or even olfactory (sense of smell). A migraine is often helped by being in a cool, dark room, and often disappears after a period of sleep. The causes of migraines are not fully understood, but there are prescription medications that can help; ibuprofen helps some people, but usually it doesn’t do much. Some people also respond to medications or liquids containing caffeine.
Sinus headaches behave differently. Generally, the pain is on both sides of the face, and often worst near the cheekbones or around the eyes. Light or sound generally have little if any effect on the headache. Cool surroundings often make the sufferer feel worse; warm compresses or a heating pad often help. Sinus headaches generally respond well to ibuprofen or Tylenol, particularly if combined with sudafed/pseudoephedrine (like Tylenol Sinus formula or a similar medication).
If either one of these sounds familiar, then check with your doctor – particularly if it is a migraine, as the only really effective migraine medications are prescription-only preparations. Even if none of the above sounds familiar, it sounds to me like it’s time to see your doctor. Good luck!
