I can feel a headache coming on. And whenever I get headaches, it turns into a migraine. Quick, what can I do to get rid of it? Preferably no medicines because I don’t have any right now. And also, I’ve heard that dehydration causes headaches. How long the relief occurs??????????
Yes, dehydration can trigger a migraine. Drink a couple of glasses of water and in the future make sure you drink enough water, prevention is much better than a cure. Besides, the water won’t cure a migraine once it begins but it will allow it to get better at it’s own pace. Take whatever you have, Tylenol, Motrin, . Excedrine is my favorite. Get an ice pack or cold cloth for your head and lay down in a dark, quiet room and try to sleep. Take a bucket just in case you need it.

i have a bad headache no pain killers or ne thing what can i do to relieve the pain and go to bed ?
Drink lots of water and massage you temples. Keep your eyes closed and hum softly while you do it. It gives you a sence of peace and massageing your temples relaxes you so that you are not tense and this helps headaches go away. This is what I do because i hate swallowing pills. Hope i could help ya!

I was off work yesterday with sickness and a banging headache. Today Im back at work and still feel really rough. Ive tried to take some pain killers but I can’t swallow them! What else can cure a headache.
Please don’t suggest going home as I am unable to go home (Only person in the office)
It might be due to dehydration, especially if you were vomiting yesterday, so make sure you drink plenty. Also you can buy either dissolvable pain killers or ones that melt on your tongue if you are unable to swallow tablets. If you can’t get out the office to buy any you could always consider chewing the tablets you’ve got – tastes awful though, so make sure you’ve got something nice to eat/drink straight after to take the nasty taste away!

i’ve had an ongoing headache since yesterday evening and am having trouble finding relief. I’ve taken tylenol and nyquil to help with the pain and to help me sleep but nothing seems to help. any personal suggestions that have helped you? thank you!!!
I get really bad headaches, about 2 per week sometimes more.
I went to an allergy specialist and come to find out, after blood test, I have quite a few food allergies which are causing the headaches. I am allergic to Wheat and peanuts both of which are found in so many food products.
I start off my taking something for it like you have but also try and benedryl because if you have some reaction causing the headache, this will help.
Secondly, I get in the shower and alternate hot and cold water to level out my core body Temperature ( believe me this helps alot ) also just taking a shower opens up your pores and gets rid of oils on your skin,
Next I lay down with an ice pack on my forehead, then I move it to my sinus area then to my stomach, cooling down my organs.
I would suggest seeing a doctor. Headaches have many causes. Infection, reaction to food, allergies such as pollen or pet dander ( yes you could be allergic to a pet ), sickness, injury or even a tumor. If this is just a one time thing, you are probably ok but if you continue to have these or it last more than a day or two, you should see a doctor for test.

Whenever I have red wine I get a headache, my body gets hot, and I usually get a bad hangover. This does not happen when I drink white wine. Why is that?
it is more than likely the tannins. My fiance gets bad headaches from red wine and it is the tannins.
Tannins-Any of various compounds, including tannic acid, that occur naturally in the bark and fruit of various plants, especially the nutgalls, certain oaks, and sumac. Tannins are polyphenols, and form yellowish to light brown amorphous masses that can be powdery, flaky, or spongy. They are used in photography, dyeing, in tanning leather, in clarifying wine and beer, and as an astringent in medicine. Tannins are also an important ingredient in tea.
