<p>The second day I took Lexapro I had a terrible migraine type headache and incredible nausea. I was sick for 2 days after I stopped taking it. Has anyone else had this problem?
I take Wellbutrin SR (150 mg) in the morning, and Lexapro (10 mg) in the evening, for depression and anxiety. I’ve been taking that for over two years, and it’s working very well for me.
I’ve not heard of anyone getting bad headaches from it, but no two people react the same to a medication.
You didn’t say what dose you were taking, but if you’re taking 20 mg, that’s too much to start on. And, if you’re taking 10 mg, you might ask your doctor about cutting them in half for a couple weeks (there’s a mark on the pills for doing that). Doing that would give your system time to become acclimated to it, and break in more gradually.

No and I’ve taken Lexapro for years. My sister takes it as well and she has never experienced that problem either. My guess would be that you had a virus. You shouldn’t stop taking these types of medications without talking to your doctor first. Stopping them suddenly can cause problems.
